  • Here are a couple more for ya.

My better half, Lynn, is an accomplished quilter with several awards (including several 1st place and "best of show") to her credit. She often takes a small sewing machine and all necessary supplies to work on a quilt while camping. Depending on the type of trip we plan, if we're staying put for a week or so she'll set everything up and start creating.
I, on the other hand, will gather several kits for model trains and set up on the picnic table with a radio and cold drink. Between the two of us we can spend several days at our hobbies and never leave the camp. We both find this relaxing and fulfilling. It often generates great conversation with fellow campers too.

Just because you're in an RV, doesn't mean you you enjoy things any less than you did in the sticks and bricks. Keep on creating!

Sounds great! Lynn and Cathy Montowski (she and Dennis are HappyCampersColorado) would enjoy getting together! Y'all may want to look at the quilting work station Dennis built for Cathy in their Montana!

We are planning on taking a long trip starting January 2019. I am going to be taking my sewing machine and as much to go with it as I can. I have just recently started quilting. We are going to take the dining table out and put in a desk in that space. I'm in the 'thinking about it' stage and haven't come up with any details on what that's going to look like yet. If anyone else has done that I'd love to see pictures!
