    Ohio Campers

I live in Central Ohio and still work full-time, but am willing to meet up with other campers from this forum. I have already got a few vacations planned for the camping season, but making a 3 day weekend or 2 to meet others is doable. Is there any others interested in the same type of camping? May be a good way to get a Roving Rally started as Boomer Don had suggested in another thread. We could always put the feelers out to gauge the interest! I thought I had posted this earlier, but can't find it. If I did please delete this thread.

Is there anything planned for the Ohio/Great Lakes region? Being new to the forums, I have not been able to locate anything for my area. Does the factory (Keystone) sponsor anything in the Goshen area? If so please let me know dates so I can try to attend!

Any campers in the Central Ohio area interested in meeting up a time or 2 or more this year? I still work full-time and already have a couple of out of state vacations planned, so thinking more along lines of weekend type or 3 day type camping. Areas close to me include ,but not limited to...Alum Creek...Mohican...Salt Fork...Indian Lake....Dayton area....etc. I`m located in Licking County so I can head any direction to camp!

There has been a long running Factory Rally held by Keystone for another group. We are establishing new rallies and we are looking to cover more of the states, your area included!!

I have hosted a number of rallies and they really aren't hard to do. Maybe you would consider gauging interest for a rally in your area?

If there is interest, I would be happy to assist you in getting the rally off the ground for this year or next.

      What say you, Sir?!!!

It seems to me most folks must live in the Northeast or South, as that is where most rallies are held. Is there no interest in the Rockies? I don't think there is much if any in the midwest either. Just curious if there is any breakdown of the member residence locations. Thanks.

The interest is there, but not being retired yet limits our travel time. If we know far enough in advance that someone is going to host a rally, we have a better chance of attending. We can't attend a rally at short notice.

The three rallys on the calendar of this year, 2018, Arkansas, Tennessee and Maine are because three members decided they wanted to do something in their own geographic area. They solicited interest from the members and then handled most all of the organizing and logistics themselves. I don't see a lack of interest in other geographic areas as much as a lack of an individual to organize a rally in those areas. As the Montana Rovers Club grows, more of those individuals will come forth. I recently posted to see if there was an interest in roving rallies whereby we spend a few days in each or three or four different campgrounds and partake of the interests at each one. During that inquiry I learned that there was an interest in a roving rally in Ohio.

I still work full-time but would be interested in attending a Rally if held in Ohio. A lot of good attractions in Ohio in different parts of the state. Boomer Don mentioned a Roving Rally in another thread that sounded nice.

We are also from Ohio. Wooster area. I may be interested but as being new here, I don't know what a roving rally is. We are in a setup in a camp ground called Long Lake in Lakeville, Ohio. They a few open sites they use for weekend stays.

A roving is going from location to location, staying 3or 4 days to see local attractions and then move on.
