    19-26 August 2018

Phone: 207-244-3944 or toll free 1-877-244-9033.
    .
Planning WAYYYYY ahead... BUT we need to! If you are interested in a rally during this time frame, let me know this year well before August. I will contact Rain at the campground and let her know. She will do what she can to keep us together. However, all of the desirable sites are a short walk, no matter where you reserve. Pick your choice!

The more people that can commit to this early on will ensure we can reserve a decent group of sites.

If you have not visited Acadia before, this should be a bucket list item!!

    Available are:
    1. Pull through concrete pads with full hook ups. (about 5)
    2. Back in concrete pads full hook ups (about 8)
    3. gravel / grass back in full hook ups find (about 15+)

Please respond in the thread. if you have any questions please PM me or post them here. I will be happy to help if i can.

This will be my 6th visit. Yes..6th! Its that great.

    Eric

Note: for those needing cell service, there is adequate cell service in the area of Smugglers Den Campground (South West Harbor) and around Mount Desert Island. WiFi in the campground is (was) weak or is throttled.
3/4 mile south there is a library in the town center of S.W. Harbor. Print/FAX/ and Internet services.

If you have any special needs, please let me know!

Reservations! Unless I hear other wise from Smugglers Den, reservations will open Sunday August 27, 2017. There may be some flexibility in moving of sites over the coming year. The important thing is that you nail your reservation down as soon as reasonably possible.

If you find you need to cancel prior to the rally, please post here before making the phone call to allow some one in our group who may be waiting to fill your vacated space.

I have asked rain for sites 90 - 94, 122-125, 109, 110 (108 is a seasonal) and / or sites in the area of 80 -89, and 71 - 74. All of the sites listed above should accomodate your fifth wheel.

If you have questions, please feel free to ask! There is a separate thread started for Activities, Potluck, and group functions.

    Thank you!

We can commit!. Count us in.

We will probably spend the summer visiting all six of the New England states so we can fill in our map of states that we've spend at least one night sleeping in our Montana.

Very good response so far! I posted this prior to talking to Tina (I was taking a risk!!) but she loves the area and is up for it too.

Is there a time in August where there are conflicts for anyone? School, grand kids, etc?

I am going to try to nail down a week next.

If we can get a consensus on a week I will make a phone call very soon!

We are open to anytime in August, but later in the month would give us more summer for exploring other areas of New England.

As far as time of year. We like to miss the crowds, but I know with the northeast things start to close down after Labor Day. Mid to late August sounds good. Would allow more northeast travel before and after. Since we don't have kids in school and are retired, we can work with most anytime.

We agree with Scott. Truthfully, we have a lot going on and we don't even know what that time over a year from now will bring, but if nothing major changes we are up for whatever you decide! The wheat should be harvested and in the bins and the grandkids in school and doing their thing. Barring any serious illnesses or catastrophes, we are in whenever!
